Even though I have have been surrounded by art my entire life, I am a very late bloomer to the art world. My mom was an art major, my sister studied graphic design, and my grandmother taught art history. It was actually embarrassing at times how little knowledge I had. I didn't even know that Monet and Manet were two different people until I took a painting class in 2014.

Because I always felt like the black sheep of the family, I assumed I could never create or have a deep understanding of art like them, so I just never even tried. However, I have been photographing my surroundings nonstop since I was a child, but it had never crossed my mind that what I was doing was actually making art.

I was born, raised, and currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. After much aggravation and a two year leave of absence, I finally graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2015 with a B.A. in Art. It wasn't until this break from school, though, that I had a chance to actually stop and think about what I have been passionate about all my life. I realized photography was in fact much more than just a hobby, so I switched majors as soon as I went back to school.

In my spare time, I perform with Barely Legal Productions, the Bay Area's premier Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast. I play the roles of Magenta and Frank N Furter on a regular basis. My exercise consists of playing Dance Dance Revolution like a madwoman. I also play guitar and trumpet and am currently attempting to learn bass and drums.
